Week #5 Results: This Week's 8-2 Record Is Profitable for Most Bettors

Fred's Picks won 8 games and lost 2 in Week #5, which allowed bettors of 2-team, 3-team and 4-team teasers to turn a profit for the weekend. So far this year, we've had 3 winning weekends and 2 losing weekends. Fred's Picks' overall record climbed to 71.4% for the year, which is slightly higher than the break-even point for 3-team, 4-team and 6-team teasers. Those who bet on 2-team ($1,085) and 3-team teasers ($1,140) are ahead for the year, while bettors of 4-team ($900) and 6-team ($875) are somewhat down for the year.

Of course, the big money comes when Fred's Picks win every weekend game. This may sound unrealistic, but in fact it has happened 3 to 4 times over the past two years.

  • In 2025, Week #2, Fred's Picks won all 11 games.
  • In 2024, Fred's Picks won all 8 games in Week #7 and all 5 games in Week #16.
  • Also in 2024, Week #10, Fred's Picks won 8 games outright and pushed one. Every 3-team, 4-team and 6-team bet won, while 2-team bets were refunded.
NOTE: In a 2-team teaser, if one game wins and the other is a push, the bet is refunded. In all other cases, the bet is reduced to the next lower combination. So a 3-team teaser with two wins and one push results in a winning 2-team teaser.

We've not had a clean sweep yet in 2026, but there is plenty of time for that to happen.
